About Memphis, Tennessee
Memphis, TN is best known for its food and music scenes, especially Barbeque and Elvis.
The Memphis Zoo has giant pandas, and has been recently renovated. There are museums on everything from cars to music to Judaic art, along with several topical museums on the troubling history of the United States South (notably, the Memphis Cotton Museum). Memphis also has the famous Memphis Pyramid, which is now a hotel (although not one we’re planning on using).
Average August temperatures run around 90F (33C), so it’s hot and mostly sunny.
